Better for what?!?
You can build a better house with science ... But you need money to buy the materials.
In todays world science makes money and money makes more science. Out of the two, I would pick money and then make my own science.

It feels like you're comparing two very different things... Like asking whether people prefer Taco Bell or dolphins! Both are great in their own way.

Money. With money you can pay people to not believe in science no matter how sound the scientists' logic is. For instance, big oil companies in America have paid off some scientists to pretend that Global Warming doesn't exist. See what I mean? Money man. It can make people disbelieve anything.
SCIENCE because if we were more social we could just do and make all the things for each other which you would normally need money for. Science is eventually necessary cuz planet earth is inevitable to end once. Otherwise the sun will inevitably end.
