Yes, I have. I stumbled upon an old mine while hiking some of our local mountains. It was really cool. We didn't go too far, because nothing was marked and it was very eerie. I remember going home and researching what was mined locally. I was surprised to find that we had mined something unusual, but for the life of me I can't remember what it was.
