It's always the best when it be a topic that everyone inside the discussion finds an idea about it!

I don't have a specific topic to call but just generally things that i like! (which it going to be a long list)

then, of course what others would like! I always try to be good listener, i enjoy to care and listen to other's stories and their views even if i be disagree or having no clue of the topic.

I like conversations and discussions, it's a way people can transfer knowledge and also know each other better and their perspectives. Discussion is a way to result. So i'm passionate about it. Sometimes people feel i'm getting harsh or getting out of control! It's because my enthusiasm and interest in discussing makes me get a bit louder and get quick hand movements or change my phrasing more straight. I don't know if it;s a flaw or not but it's just how i am!! Lol!

Depends on the person and our common interests. Music, politics, hobbies, weather, etc. My most common is... How has life been treating you?

No its more of a how are you? It's not as worn out as simply saying how are you, which you hear every time you enter a restaurant. And the beer thing... that's common interests (both parties like beer)

I don't mean it in this way - just meeting someone on the street and starting small talk. I mean it you and someone close to you, just asking How's life been treating you? and getting a real answer.

That's why I ask. Because I actually care. And if they care enough they will answer without being short and just saying "fine". I feel showing interest is a key part of communication. Nobody wants to hear a half-assed question OR answer.

I can almost always discuss religion, politics, history, and science fiction. Or any combination of the above.
