No. Most archaeologists are college professors - a job that has lots of advantages, but doesn't pay especially well. Things that are collected will belong to the country where they were collected. Jobs that involve artifacts that pay a bit better would be an appraiser at a large auction house or a curator.
People get into archaeology because it is cool and you travel and work outside and in labs - not for big bucks.
