Of itself? No! But some people are tetchy about revealing their age and may be offended. And, since it's rude to offend, it may sometimes be rude to ask a person's age. It's a matter of judgement.

I'm 25.

I won't get offended if someone asks my age as long as they don't get offended if I choose to fudge the number :O.  And if they pretend to believe I'm 29 , they're my new best friend. :)

I really could give a hoot if someone wanted to know how old I was. It doesn't offend me in the least. Age is just a number.

depends how old. If they are over 30 they might feel sad if you ask them how old they are. If you wanna know someones age just ask for their birthday, then figure out their age.

I don't really think so! Not for me! However,it's an individual outlook, but yet, you would want to be careful with ladies more. The high percent of ladies considered sensitive about this matter.

It's called unwritten rule!!! Lol!

I can handle people asking how old I am, I just tell them "I'm 66, I would be older, but I was held back a few years!"  By the time they figure out what I said, I've moved on, one way or another.
