With all the rain we've gotten and plenty of snow in the mountains, do you think California's drought is finally over?

Was there ever really a drought? I grew up in Southern  California. It is a naturally semi arid climate. There is never enough water to supply the huge growing population there. In their eyes it is surely a drought. But what about the eyes of nature?

The only way to deal with this in the future is unnaturally through technology. Reduce, Recycle, Reuse.

The lakes are about all full up here in No. California. It's always been dry down there.

Glad to hear it. I used to live in the SF bay area too. Sure do miss that state. That overpopulated South is just going to have to get desalination equipment. They just want to steal water from the North.

I wish! I'm tired of looking at my dead or dying plants and being on a water schedule. I would like to fill up my above ground pool. We need more rain in Southern California, looks like you've been doing pretty good up there, Mr. C.

I wouldn't celebrate too soon, but definitely this year is better than the last four years. There was actually snow at Tahoe over winter break. Last year that wasn't any snow there at all.

I doubt it. When I lived in KS we had a drought that lasted a 3-4 years. It took 2 years for us to catch up.
