We have more touch and pressure receptors on the palms of our hands because we use the palms of our hands to hold on to things, touch and feel them. Even though we have touch and pressure receptors all over our body, they are not evenly distributed all over the human body.

Some parts of our body have a high density of touch and pressure receptors. On the other hand, there are other parts of the body where the touch and pressure receptors are more widely spaced. Our hands and fingers have the highest number of touch and pressure receptors. On the other, the most sparse number of touch and pressure receptors are possibly on our earlobes.

In fact, apart from the palms of our hands, the other parts of our body which have a high density of touch and pressure receptors are the backs of our hands, the back of the neck, between our shoulders, the elbows, the forearm, the lips and the forehead.
