In order to type a letter and then print it you need to have opened on your computer your word processing program. This can be Microsoft word, Works and even notepad it all depends on what software you have but it will be obvious which program will be for which.
The first step you need to take is to begin typing your letter, now depending on what type of letter you are writing whether business or personal, you may need to access indentation, bullet or number points and other options such as; letter style, bold, italic, underline and point size. All of these options are clearly marked out on the tool bars at the top of the screen. Some are obvious others are not so take some time to play around with things before you go ahead and type for real.
The second step after typing your letter is to make sure that anything underlined by the computer either in red, blue or green is dealt with. To do this hover over the word in question and right click your mouse, it will then give you suggestions of other words if you have miss spelt them or a sentence change if the grammar is wrong.
Then double check over everything you have written so you know you have written everything you need to and you have gotten your intended point across fully. It is very easy to miss out an odd letter, accidentally put something in that you did not mean to which has not been picked up by the automated checking program within the document.
Now you need to start checking your printer is properly plugged in, the paper is in the tray and that the lead from the printer to your laptop, PC or MAC is properly inserted.
Finally you need to click on the print button on your screen. Now depending on which word processing program you are using will depend on how this is done. The majority of them will have an icon with a picture of a printer on it, on the tool bar. Check your printer for your printed letter.
