A lei is a garland of flowers which is worn particularly around the neck. It is a floral arrangement comprising of a spherical band of flowers and foliage for decorative purposes. Money leis can also be given a floral appearance. Money leis are gifted on special occasions like graduation or special events like anniversaries or birthdays.
To make leis from money, fold the bill in half horizontally. Next fold forward and backward to make fan pleats. Keeping the folded paper flat, pinch the centre and bring the two ends together. The circle is made by using four bills folded in this manner. Place them in a sequence or rather in a circle, fanning them out and pasting a small glue label on the end of every section to fasten it to the adjoining bill.
