You do do pi r squared times 2 + pi times height and diameter

The area of a circle is simply PI x R squared,

Where PI is the value 22/7 and R is the radius of the circle.

Hence the surface area of a circle measuring 30 cm in diameter would be 22/7 x 15 x 15 = 707.14 cm2

A=2*pi*r
pi=3.14
So,2*3.14*r
r=7
=43.96=44.00

Multiply the radius by itself and then multiply that result by pi.  That gives the area of the circle.
