Na+ is connected to COOH- which is the conjugate base of HCOOH.
In solution this will create a buffer.

HCOOH + H2O COOH- + H3O+

As a buffer, this reaction goes back and forth and has an equilibrium.

The product of HCOOH + NaCOOH is NaH+H2O+CO2+CO, sorry not sure. I m trying to work out, but it seems there is no NaH
