Can I Donate Plasma If I Take Lithium?

Actually, lithium is usually given to people to treat bipolar disorder.  At the dosage required to treat bipolar, it's usually too much for the blood bank to accept.

Take a note of your medications and dosages, and ask the blood bank - but don't be surprised if they say no. 

And don't be down-hearted that you can't donate blood - there are so many ways you can still help the blood bank :)
