How Are Van Der Waals Forces And Ionic Bonds Similar?

They are different because ionic bonds are stronger...I don't know about how they are alike

Don't really believe this to be right, jus trying to help and give an answer because I am doing hw right now and was uhhh NOT looking on the internet for the answer... Pretty sure its wrong, I jus BSed it

They are similar because they both hold together molecules and they differentiate because van der Waals forces are oppositely charged and ionic can be both negative or positively charged.
