Butterflies, bees and other insects, have a symbiotic relationship with each other. That means they depend on each other for survival. While in the process of feeding, they transfer pollen from one plant/flower to another, this way bringing together male and female plants. This in turn allows for the propagation (birth) of more plants (and more food for the them).
