Corrosion is the chemical or electrochemical reaction between a material and its environment. The material is usually a metal. The reactions produces a deterioration of the material.

Rust is the oxide that is formed by open-air oxidation of iron. Rusting is caused by the action of oxygen and moisture not by chemicals.

Rusting is a specific type of corrosion in which only iron destroy it means the term "rusting"  is only specified for the iron. While  corrosion is the broad term for all metal i.e being destroy due to chemical reaction

Aluminum is actually resistant to corrosion ... Thats why its used to make window frames and also certain parts in an airplane

Rusting is mostly for iron. Corrosion is brod term all metals being destory due to corrosion.

Rust is either iron oxide or a totally unrelated fungus.  Other metals may corrode, but they don't rust.

Copper and aluminum are particularly noted for corroding.
