E-coli or Escherichia coli is a kind of bacteria that is found in intestines of animals. It is Gram-negative, facultative anaerobic and non-sporulating bacteria. It lives on a wide variety of substrates.where it makes use of mixed-acid fermentation in anaerobic conditions, producing lactate, succinate, ethanol, acetate and carbon dioxide.
