It's a common form of skin cancer and can be taken off with laser or frozen chemically if it is small. Larger areas are cut out surgically. Usually it doesn't require any chemo...if it does the chemo consists of putting medications right on the skin. It is not melanoma and it has a good prognosis. Only a dermatologist can answer your question with out more information such as your age, and the size and location of the lesion. It has to be sent to a lab for analysis to make sure the skin margins are free and clear of cancer.
