Yes, we are in dire need of alternative fuels. The current sources of fuel are fastly becoming extinct. People are using Petroleum products, coal, natural gas, trees etc as source of fuel all around the world. The petroleum and natural gas reserves are quickly depleting. On the other hand cutting trees has resulted in loss of natural habitat, extinction of several animals and soil erosion. Thus it is necessary that alternative sources be explored and utilized otherwise balance on earth would be disturbed.
