We have a specialty metals scrapyard here which even takes the film/xrays from hospital and recycles it but the thing is you would have to have a boat load of them to make any money. The last time I was at the yard they had a 5 foot by 5 foot square box filled with nothing but old faulty xray film. So yes the scrapping of these is possible but you would need a receipt or paper giving you the permission or right to the film so the scrap yard could verify that it was your to scrap. The value would be determined by the amount of silver/metal retrieved by processing the film.
