There is no affliction called "pandorum" but astronauts do face psychological strain while in space, which would be exacerbated by deep space travel. Boredom, anxiety, cabin fever as well as sever headaches are a few. Since humans have not traveled as far or as long into space as in the titular film, astronauts are not sure what other physiological effects long-term space flight will have on the human body.
