What Do Astronauts Need To Survive In Space?

Astronauts need space suit, warn clothes underneath, space helmet, test tubes, oxygen tanks, food, maps and camara's to take pictures for scientist.

An Astronaut is basically a person who is trained to command, pilot or serve as a crew member in a spacecraft. Normally the training is done by a human spaceflight program.
Astronauts need specialized equipment and food in order to survive in space. A system is created for them which produces food, purifies their supplies, recreates oxygen and removes unwanted components also.

They take with them freezed and dried food. Usually their food consists of wheat, potato, lettuce, radish, tomatoes, soybeans, peanuts, strawberries etc. They have limited objects that they can take into space. The air inside the spacecraft is constantly recycled. They also need the extravehicular mobility unit space suit for proper survival.

Dried fruit or nuts are helpful, since they can be stored and won't go bad for a while.  You will need lots of oxygen (a human inhales about two pounds of oxygen), Water (Preferably using a reusable kind), Food, and a durable space suit that evenly distributes oxygen and protects against radiation.

They need tools to be able to take samples or they won;t be able to give anything to the scientist to test..

Living in space is not easy for an astronaut. The astronaut has to make a lot of adjustments in order to make things easy for him and the rest of the crew. Apart from working all day on the system, the astronaut does the normal things he used to do on earth. He eats, sleeps, takes a bath, and does exercises and many such more things that he is addicted of doing. The only difference is that it is not same as it was on earth. Taking a shower or a proper bath is not easy while in space. The astronaut can take only sponge baths as it saves a lot of energy while up there. The astronaut can only sleep in sleeping bags otherwise he would hit things and hurt himself. There are special toilets which the astronauts use while in space.

In order to perform all these activities a lot of energy is used which is the reason why astronauts are in good shape and they work out regularly.
