You probably mean 1M HCL which stands for 1 mol of HCL per liter of distilled water.
HCL has a molecular weight of 35.453+ 1.01= 35.463gHCl per liter of water.

They're probably not giving you concentrated HCl crystals, thought - you'll probably have to dilute a stronger concentration down, and there's no way to tell what concentration you're being given from your question.
