The equation for density is Density=Mass/Volume. As I looked on the Internet it seemed to be the same for liquid or solid. After all density is density no matter the format it is in.

The formula for finding the density is D=M/V

where as M=mass & V= volume

To find the density of a liquid, you can measure the volume by a measuring jar and the mass can be determined by a weighing machine.

In case of solid (if it irregular) use water displacement method. Immerse the water in a glass cylinder having known amount of water. The amount of water displaced will be the volume of the solid.
