Bone density test is usually done for diagnosis of diseases like osteoporosis. DEXA test is usually done for testing the density of bones. It is basically a scan that lasts for 10 minutes and exposes the patient to radiation. However, it is safe as the radiation is less that that of an x-ray.

I believe that a black spot would show up from this test. I had one done and it showed me all the cracks in my hip bones and spine. It would be easy for a Dr. To see something on it, or so it seems to me.
