Textile industry plays an important role in strengthening the Pakistani economy. Textiles provide almost 60% of the total Pakistani exports which accounts for $5.2 billion. This sector contributes to almost 46% to the total output produced by the country. However these figures might decline in the near future because of the downfall and problems faced by the textile industry. Pakistan is the eighth largest asian country which produces quality products related to textile industry. The textile industry constitutes of 8.5% of the total GDP of Pakistan.
