Lead itself is an element that can be found in nature and it is not a mixture of some other elements.

Mostly you can find lead with the ores of zinc, silver and copper. It natural form it is found with the mineral galena which has more than eighty-six per cent of lead. There are some other minerals also which have lead as their one constituent. These are cerussite and anglesite.

The use of lead is in so common that you can find enough lead for recycling also and currently almost fifty per cent of the lead that we require today comes from the process of recycling. Besides its visible use, lead is also commonly used for many industrial processes which include its use in lead-acid battery, in ceramic glazes and also the wick of the candles are treated with lead to ensure a longer burn.
