Yes, it certainly does. The only real controversy is about WHY it exists.
Probably it is caused by a build-up of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere but there is no definitive proof. If it is caused by that, then humankind is almost certainly responsible.
Ignorant people around the world (but mainly US "conservatives") deny that this is possible. If they are wrong (and it's very likely they are) and we do nothing, it is very possible that we are bequeathing an uninhabitable world to our children and grandchildren...
