Usually rural and industrialization are poles apart but in the 21st century it is seen that globalization and urbanization are also making their way to rural areas... Few of the reasons being:

-Rapid expansion in cities leaves no land for further setting up of industries in cities.

-Setting up of industries requires huge area of land which is available in rural areas.

-The price of land in rural areas is much cheaper than in cities.

-Since many people of rural or village areas are unemployed it provides cheap labor for the industries.

-Availability of resources and raw materials. Most raw materials are rural produced so setting up an industry nearby cuts down the transportation expenses.
