What Does Flora Mean?

Flora in botanical terms has two meanings. The first meaning of flora is flora of a part or time period, refers to all vegetation taking place in a region or area or time period, in particular as you would expect taking place or aboriginal plant life. The second connotation refers to a manuscript or other work that portrays the plant genus in the works in a region or time phase, with the motive of allocating recognition.
The term comes from Latin Flora, which means the goddess of flowers in the mythology of the Romans. The corresponding term which represents animals is fauna. The flora and fauna together of an area determine the biota of a particular region.
