What do you call a river area nearly surrounded by water?
Perhaps a delta, where rivers converge and dump into the ocean, pretty wet there.
An ocean? Lake?
Wetlands? Not quite sure what you are asking. Where I live the river feeds into a lake at one end and empties out at the other.
