I wasn't attracted to my partner when we first met. As time went by and we spent more time together, a day came when I realised I wanted to kiss him goodbye, I felt excited about seeing him,  finally I didn't want him to leave.  From personal experience it is the personality that draws you in. It is the personality that you spend time with.  It is the personality that speaks to the heart. My man is kind, patient, compassionate, strong, responsible, and he makes me laugh. When he smiles his blue eyes sparkle and his whole face lights up. He massages my feet, he strokes my arms, he'll hang up my wet washing, he'll fix things for me, and does so without thinking it just comes naturally.  We often go for walks together and always hold hands, there is a 12 year age gap, I'm 40, but that doesn't matter because age melts away. I like the age difference because he has 12 years of more interesting life experience to talk about and he has not led a boring life. I am very attracted to him, I can't see past him, he really is fantastic.  A person can be conventionally good looking but as deep as a puddle, I couldn't be with someone like that there's nothing to keep you there, nothing to feel intrigued about, or fascinated by.

Yes, as you come to know their personality, you will learn that they have a kind heart and they my be gracious in their speech according to Colossians 4:6.

Yes, but I find frequently that there are a lot of people whose best hope is that their looks, no matter how unpleasant, may be able to overcome their personality.
