Slime mole? Do you mean slime MOLD? A
Dear Anonymous,
If you are indeed asking about slime molds, then they have no direct economic importance. When I attended the University of Washington in Seattle in 1970, a professor there studied them because they are fascinating. However, he had difficulty finding grants because of their lack of economic significance.
"Slime molds offer important ecological functions as significant decomposers and nutrient recyclers, and as part of the food chain, consuming microorganisms and moving this food energy into the food web, as they are consumed by larger animals."
