1/4 of a gallon that's why it's called a quart. You could also express it as 0.25

1 US quart is equal to 0.25 US gallons. There are many definitions that exist currently for gallon.    1) U.S. Liquid gallon is 231 in³ (exactly) or 128 U.S. Fl oz (exactly) or 3.785411784 litres (exactly) or about 0.1336805556 cubic feet (576 gallons = 77 cubic feet, 1 cubic foot = 7.480512/0.999999 gallons). This is the most common definition of a gallon.    2) U.S. Dry gallon is one-eighth of a "Winchester bushel" of 2150.42 cu in, thus 268.8025 in³ (exactly) or 4.40488377086 L (exactly)    3) Imperial (UK) gallon is 160 imperial fl oz (exactly), or 4.54609 L (legally and exactly). That is approximately 1.201 US (liquid) gallons.    A quart is basically a unit of measurement for a volume. It is considered to be equal to two pints.

Wow Bgirl525, you're dumb. If a gallon is more than a quart and you ask how many gallons are in a quart then the answer is less than one (because a gallon is larger than a quart.)

In fact if 4 quarts make a gallon (Hope you know that much)..... Then 0.25 or 1/4 gallons makes 1 quart. You're definitely not smarter than a 5th grader lol
