Well there are many books and online websites like www.mindspring.com ,  www.kimble-kontes.com./html/Condenser.html, etc available which explain the working of a condenser.

Condenser basically refers to the shell and tube heat exchanger which is fixed to an outlet of every steam turbine in Thermal power station of service companies. These condensers basically are heat exchangers which transform steam from its gaseous form to liquid form which is known as phase transition. An air cooled condenser is on the other hand considerably more expensively and cannot attain as low a steam turbine back pressure as a plane condenser.

It main principle is to condense the outlet steam from the steam turbine to acquire utmost efficiency and also to get the condensed steam in the shape of pure water.
