Lynwood basically is a city located in the Los Angeles County, California, America. Lynwood is positioned close to South Gate and Compton in the southern section of the Los Angeles Basin.
Integrated in the year 1921, the city's name was initially used for the local dairy, Miss Lynn Wood Sessions and the local railroad stations as well as the subdivision were also name after the dairy. The initial city hall of Lynwood was made out of wood and one day caught fire eventually destroying an entire section of the building.
