Grady Demond Wilson is a well known American actor, best remembered for portraying the role of Redd Foxx's long suffering son, Lamont Sanford; in the 1970s hit television series Sanford and Son.
Born on October 13th, 1946, in Valdosta Georgia, he joined the military service after his education. After returning from services in Vietnam, he joined touring stage productions for some time. He later shifted to Hollywood, and made guest appearances in television sitcoms like Mission: Impossible and All in the family. He also acted in the 1971 movie "The Organization".
In the year 1971 he was asked to audition for the role of Lamont Sanford and eventually got it. Wilson portrayer the role of Lamont through the run of the series and later transformed into the de facto star after Redd Foxx quit the show in the year 1975.
