There are many plants in the Daintree Rainforest but the most interesting ones are as follows;

  • Wild Ginger
    The wild ginger is said to grow up to 6 meters high. It actually poisonous so if it you touch it, you should wash your hands immediately.

  • Blue Quandongs
    Blue quandongs have, not surprisingly, blue fruit and this can be up to 3 meters high.

  • Idiot Fruit
    The idiot fruit also contains poisonous seeds.
You can find more information about Daintree Rainforest at their official website at www.daintreerainforest.com/index.html
If you need a more extensive list of all the plants that can be found in the Daintree Rainforest then it may well be worth contacting them directly.

You can contact Daintree rainforest in the following ways:

    You can phone them on either 1300 554 636 (Inside Australia) or +61 7 4040 2177 (outside of Australia)

If you simply explain to them that you would like them to include a full list of all the plants in their rainforest then I am sure they will oblige. If it is for a school project then it is worth mentioning this to them as they could provide you with even more information or any useful leaflets.
