Simply visiting Google images and typing "Human body organs" will reveal a number of pictures of where the organs are in the body. contains some useful diagrams and information on all aspects of the human body.
When looking at pictures of the human body it shows a number of organs that are essential to the way we live. The first organ most pictures show is the larynx, which is the human voice-box, which houses the vocal cords and helps with breathing. Just below the larynx is the thyroid gland, which controls how the body uses energy and makes proteins. Below this is the trachea: A tube that connects the larynx to the lungs, allowing for the passing of air.
The next organ shown in most pictures is the lung, of which humans have two and are located near the backbone and are on either side of the heart. The lungs are essential for respiration. The heart is the organ responsible for pumping blood through the blood vessels, and around the body. The heart is in the centre of the chest, although it does veer slightly to the left. The heart will beat, on average, 72 times a minute.
The liver detoxifies the body and is also the organ responsible for aiding digestion, by producing biochemicals. The spleen, located in the top left of the abdomen is important as it assists in red blood cell production and helps with the immune system. The stomach is located between the oesophagus and the small intestine. The stomach is responsible for digesting food and passing the digested food onto the small intestine. Other important organs in the human body that are shown in most pictures include the small intestine, the bladder and the appendix.
