I started with scrubbing my stained white shirt in lemon juice as it is a nice solution for whites. When came the idea oh, how bout bleach. I then proceeded to poor a small amount of clorox bleach into my lemon juice. It fizzed and also grew warm. Of course it took out the stain instantaneously. But did I perhaps do something dangerous. I'm thinking so. Anyone?
You should never mix bleach (hypochlorite a base) with any acid . If you do, always add them alphabetically... Add the acid to the base as you would add acid to water. It may have a tendency to create toxic chlorine gas.
