Galena is used as a semiconductor in electronics (similar to germanium,selenium,silicon,carborundum) but it has the lowest forward drop voltage as a passive rectifier for detecting electricity.lead sulfide has the easiest electron orbit drop level of any known easily available natural substance.
It can be used for cavity fillings and can be a replacement for limestone! Also it is used in some radio sets. Galena also has a very sweet taste!!!
