The bond order for CO+ is 3.5. CO, or carbon and oxygen bond, is one of the most numerous bonds in the organic world. CO is found mainly as a reactive intermediate rather than a positive bond. CO+ is paramagnetic because it has a spare electron when bonded.
The bond order of NO- is 2.0. NO, or nitric oxide, is a diatomic gas vital for cell signalling in mammals, including us humans. NO is produced when ammonia is oxidised. It is also paramagnetic.
The bond order of OF+ is 2.0. OF, or oxygen fluoride, is a compound used in toothpastes to get rid of plaque. Again, this molecule is paramagnetic because of its spare electron.
The Bond order of NeF+ is 1.0. NeF, or neon fluoride, is an unstable element and a noble gas but it can bond to fluorine to create neon fluoride. Again, this element appears to be paramagnetic because oxygen is, and fluorine as an element has not yet had its magnetic tendencies discovered.
