The five largest cities in New Jersey are Newark, Jersey City, Paterson, Elizabeth and Edison. Newark is also known as The Brick City. It is the largest metropolis in New Jersey in United States. It has a total population of 280,451 making it the largest populated city in New Jersey.

Jersey City is located in Hudson County, New Jersey, United States. It is well known as the commercial and industrial centre and is also a significant transportation and distribution centre.
Paterson is located in Passaic County, New Jersey, United States. It is also known as the Silk City, since its production of silk from the 19th century.

Elizabeth is in Union County, New Jersey.

Edison is also referred to as Edison. It is located in Middlesex County, New Jersey, United States. In July 2006, it was voted as the "Best Place to Live" and was voted the 2nd best place in New Jersey.
