Ferromagnesian minerals are minerals containing iron and/or magnesium in their structure.They have a greater specific gravity, between 3.2 and 3.6, than non ferromagnesian minerals. Examples of ferromagnesian minerals include olivine, pyroxene, amphibole, biotite, and garnet.
