A pen drive and a Flash drive are the same thing. Some manufacturers call their USB drives pen drives, where other manufacturers call theirs a flash drive. They all work the same. My favorite brand is SanDisk, they are reliable and come in a variety of styles and colors as well as storage space. When choosing a flash drive, chose one with at least 1 gb memory. I have several that I use for school and my favorite is a 2 gb flash drive. I have 27 power point presentations, about 50 songs, and several word documents stored on it and still have lots of space left.
A USB smart drive is a USB flash drive with additional capabilities, typically software, that enable it to run active programs from the drive, from encryption technology to personalized Web browsers to Instant Messaging services. Users can purchase USB smart drives, or download software from the Internet that enables existing flash drives to be upgraded to "smart" drives.
Flash drive multiple strings connections and hence supports active programs.....
Pen drive is one type of storage hardware
It is fast and run Bootle media
Normal pen drive may not support good file transfer speed whereas flash drive will give you good file transfer speed. Specially(flash drive) for transferring games and other applications
No difference betweeen pen drive and flash drive there will flash on both the drives which ensure speed transfer
There is no more difference between them, than there is between Flash Drive and Thumb Drive, and Jump Drive.
The only seeming difference is that in some cases 'Pen Drive' seems to refer to a Flash Drive that has a Linux kernel installed on it, allowing a person to launch Linux from such a portable Thumb Drive... (^_^)
