X- Ray technology was invented in the year 1895, this technology was discovered by accident. It was discovered by German physicist Wilhelm Roentgen while he was testing electron beams in a gas discharged tube. Roentgen observed that a florescent monitor in his laboratory began to glow when he turned on the electron beam.
This response did not surprise him because generally florescent material glows because of electromagnetic reaction, but Roentgen's tube was enclosed by a heavy black cardboard so Roentgen though that this should have blocked most of the radiation.
After this Roentgen positioned many objects in between the tube and the monitor, but still the monitor continued to glow. Eventually he placed his hand in front of the tube, and noticed that the silhouette of his bones was projected on the fluorescent monitor. And in this way he discovered the most beneficial application x-ray.
