Why Is It Necessary To Let The Crucible Cool Before Measuring Mass?

You have to stay for it
to cool because a hot object heats up the air around it, causing a convection
current that will mess up your measurement

If you are deducting the mass of the crucible from the mass of the item, and the crucible's mass was originally measured when cool, you have to allow it to cool after the experiment in order to have accurate measurements.
