Typhoons are also known as tropical cyclones. A tropical cyclone is a storm system characterized by a low pressure center and numerous thunderstorms that produce strong winds and flooding rain. Causes of a Typhoon are :

1) Warm Waters
2) Moisture
3) Inward spiraling winds

Developing typhoons gather heat and energy through contact with warm ocean waters plus moisture by evaporation from the sea surface powers them like giant heat engines.

Tropical sea surface by the sun direct Ershi water temperature, water evaporation to provide a sufficient water vapor. The water vapor in the uplift occurred in condensation, release large amounts of latent heat, to promote convection further development, so that sea level pressure falls, causing the surrounding warm air into the add, and then lift. This cycle and the formation of positive feedback, that second condition of instability (CISK) mechanism. The conditions are right the vast sea, the circulation area will continue to expand, up to hundreds to thousands of kilometers.
As the Earth from west to east high-speed rotation, resulting in air columns and the Earth's surface friction, because the closer to equatorial friction is stronger, which guide the air column counterclockwise rotation (southern line clockwise rotation), as the Earth rotation speed and flow column can not keep up the Earth's rotation rate and the formation of feeling on the westbound, which form we are talking about the typhoon and typhoon path.
In the ocean surface temperature exceeds 26 ℃ over tropical or subtropical ocean, as near the ocean surface temperature is high, a large number of air expansion up to near the ocean surface pressure decreased, the external air stream to supplement flows up to. Subject to change bias force of the inflow of air to spin. The increase in air expansion cooling, where water vapor cooling condensation forming water droplets, we must release heat, while promoting a low-level air on the rise. This near sea surface air pressure drop even lower, air rotation may be more severe, resulting eventually in a typhoon.
Typhoon structure Typhoon structure from the typhoon structure to see such a huge monster, its formation must have specific conditions.
1, there must be a broad high temperature and humidity of the atmosphere. Tropical over the ocean's bottom air temperature and humidity mainly on the sea surface temperature, the typhoon can only form in sea surface temperature higher than 26 ℃ -27 ℃ warming over the ocean, and in 60 meters depth of the water temperature must be higher than 26 ℃ -27 ℃;
Second, there must be the lower atmosphere to the center of convergence, high-level outward diffusion of the initial disturbance. And upper level divergence must exceed the lower convergence in order to maintain adequate updraft, low disturbance can be strengthened;
3, vertical wind speed can not be too significant, the lower air relative motion is very small, can the initial disturbance in the water vapor condensed by the release of latent heat centrally stored in the typhoon eye area of the air column to form and strengthen the typhoon warm center structure;
Fourth, there must be big enough to turn bias force, the Earth rotation effect is conducive to cyclone vortex formation. In turn tend to force near the equator close to zero, to the north and south poles increases, the typhoon basic occurred in approximately from the equator 5 latitudes than over the ocean.

Typhoon occur by rotating winds crashing into others
