Echinoderms are sea animals of phylum echinodermata. These are found every where in all oceans. Echinoderms are important in terms of both biology and geology. It is believed that radiations from echinoderms are responsible for Mesozoic revolution of marine life. Echinoderms are important for marine environment because they play key role in ecosystem. E.g. Sea urchins reduce the rate of colonization of bare rock by grazing, starfish prevent the growth of algal mats on coral reefs which can block filter-feeding constituent organisms. Echinoderms are staple diet of many marine animal.
