Why Are Satellites Important?

For example, in the  the broadcast industry, Indonesia has 10 national TV channels
terrestrial free to air having existence in almost all big cities and
claims to cover 100 millions eyeballs. However, there are other side of
people who cannot enjoy this terrestrial TV channels, but satellite.  However, thanks to PALAPA-D satellite, provided by Indosat Singapore Pte. Ltd. It is estimated that there are 15 millions homes currently enjoying these national TV channels via satellite.
