There is a direct relationship between mass of the body and friction. The force of friction is created when two bodies come in contact with each other. If a body has a greater mass and is dragged on the floor, greater force of friction will be produced. For example take two sofas or chairs of varying sizes i.e. One having smaller mass and the other having bigger mass. If you drag the sofa or chair of having bigger mass, it will require more energy and effort to move that chair on the floor as compared to the smaller chair. Hence greater friction is produced with the body having bigger mass and smaller friction is produced with the body having smaller mass.
